Detective Undead 2.2

On a late summer evening in 1989, a peculiar experience unfolded in an abandoned house adjacent to my grandmother's residence. While engrossed in imaginative detective games, I discovered three rooms populated by six dolls fashioned from old socks and buttons. These curiosities were encircled by charred paper adorned with enigmatic symbols and various plant seeds.

In my narrative play, this unsettling scene took on the guise of a crime scene. Yet, as I engaged in my monologue across the three rooms, I began to notice an alarming decrease in the number of dolls. When the count diminished to just three, an overwhelming sense of terror gripped me, prompting a hasty retreat to the safety of home.

This unsettling incident haunted my thoughts for years, eluding rational explanation despite my efforts to make sense of it. To cope with this lingering fear, I constructed a narrative that offered me solace: the story of a mysterious ritual involving the resurrection of a teenager and the return of a foreboding artifact to the world, bringing with it impending calamity. As I matured, my tale evolved further, depicting the adopted son returning to the site of this enigmatic revival under the mentorship of his adoptive father.
